We're finally done with Chapter 4, which was seriously the longest chapter ever. We took the test last week, and I'm kind of surprised how well I did. I was pretty sure that I wouldn't do very well since we had a huge break in between learning the chapter and taking the test. I struggled with some parts of the optimization problems, but I ended up remembering a lot more of it than I thought I would and got a B on the test.
We started Chapter 5 at the beginning of this week. Chapter 5 is about finding the area under the curve of a graph and finding the average value of a function using integrals. We first learned how to find an estimate of the area using rectangles, and I thought that was all we would be doing. That seemed a little too simple, and of course, we learned a little bit more complex stuff than that. It's not too bad, though. I think it's pretty easy, so I'm not too worried about the quiz we have next week. I hope it doesn't get too much harder than this...
