I feel like my brain just isn't working this week. I totally understand derivatives and how to find them, but now that we are finding the derivatives of composite functions, I feel like I don't even know what we have been learning all along. This is also after getting a B+ on our last quiz that we took on Wednesday. I made a bunch of stupid mistakes that took off a half point here and there. I'm hoping it's just the week, though, because I should be doing better than this.
I'm pretty confident about finding the derivative of a composite function that has two functions within it, but if there are anymore functions added, my brain just kind of quits working. I think I'm just ready to be done with derivatives since we've been talking about them for like the past three weeks. It's starting to get really old. . . like how many different things can you find the derivative for? It really seems like there's an infinite amount of them. I don't even know what to do for a picture or a link because I feel like my last few blogs have all been pretty similar, so here's a link that explains derivatives of composite functions:
The University of Sydney: The Composite Function Rule (The Chain Rule)
